This year’s Relay for Life event was blessed with perfect weather! The skies were clear and the breeze was most pleasant. Again, there was a tremendous turnout from the Naples community. The atmosphere was celebratory with an air of respect and humility for all of those affected by this burdensome challenge.
The office of Drs. Boe, Page and Page were represented by a number of eager participants throughout the evening and into the following day. Our staff organized and set up a most comfortable and well decorated campsite type home base. The colorful banners and Hawaiian decorations along with an assortment of tailgate foods, made the evening most enjoyable. Friends, family and staff members played “corn hole”, walked, participated in the Zumba classes and enjoyed the live bands.
Our office raised $1,000 through donations from staff, patients and friends. We also raised money from the sales of “glow in the dark” items like “Taking a Bite Out of Cancer” bracelets. These donations will go to the continued effort to find a cure for cancer.
All in all, this year’s Relay for Life was a huge success. We have already heard ideas for improvements for next year! Again, thanks to all that gave of their time and money for this great cause. We look forward to seeing you out there next year.
